Welcome to Towalba Merino Stud

Towalba Merino Stud is home to what are regarded as some of the largest-framed, heaviest-cutting Merino sheep In Australia.

The family-owned stud is operated by Warick and Barbara Kopp and has a long history of success being home to the 2012 Australian Supreme Merino Ram. The stud was founded in 1981 by Warick’s parents Neville and Mavis Kopp with Neville continuing to take an active part in the business.

Towalba is located 8km north-west of Peak Hill in central west NSW and with 40 years as a registered stud is renowned for breeding some of the most productive sheep in the nation with rams and ewes having been sold throughout Australia and overseas.

With a land aggregation of 11000 acres, Towalba is well positioned to carry the sheep numbers which ensure a wide selection of rams are available for clients.

You can be assured of the productivity and repeatability of the Towalba genetics and Warick is looking forward to assisting you with your Merino breeding programs and the outcomes you are striving for.

More than 250 rams are sold annually at the September on-property sale and at stud stock sales.

Grade rams and semen are available year-round and Warick would welcome your inquiries.
